6. Toronto Blue Jays

Despite being 77-63 on the year, the Blue Jays have largely flown under the radar in a stacked AL East, and are fighting for the final postseason spot in the American League with the three teams in contention from the AL West. After being swept by the Red Sox in early July, the Blue Jays sat at just 45-40, but have turned things up in the second half, particularly recently as winners of seven of their last 11 games. Crucial series with Boston, Tampa and Texas await, but Toronto has the young talent in guys like Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette that could lead the Jays on a postseason run. Ultimately, it will likely come down to how the pitching holds up, and perhaps if Alek Manoah can return to full health and his 2022 form sometime soon.
