Top 10 Illinois boys basketball players in Class of 2024
9. Dekwon Brown, G, Simeon
Brown has had multiple stops during his time on the court in high school, but that hasn’t kept him from showcasing his tremendous upside. The 6-foot-3 guard began his career at Peoria High School as a freshman before transferring to Limestone for his sophomore season. Last year, he returned to Peoria, averaging 13.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists. For his senior season, Brown will take on a new challenge as he transfers to Chicago powerhouse Simeon which has produced elite talent in the past, and begins a new era this season under head coach Tim Flowers. Brown remains uncommitted with some low-level Division I college offers currently, but a strong senior season with one of Illinois’ top programs could quickly change that.
