8. Lance Piper, F, Phelps School
Piper is a bit of a unique case compared to the rest of the players on this list, as he actually has only played two years of high school basketball thus far, but over the summer decided to reclassify to the 2024 graduating class to play college basketball at South Carolina a year early. As a result, already one of the most-skilled players in the Keystone State becomes a part of these rankings. The 6-foot-6 forward is a high-upside prospect with good length and athleticism which helped him average 12 points, four rebounds and four assists last season. He has the ability to create his own shot anywhere on the floor, and is a particularly solid long-range shooter, making 40% of his 3-point attempts last year. Piper should continue to impress in his final year at The Phelps School before playing SEC basketball with the Gamecocks.
