NEW YORK (BVM) – A large number of current and former NHL players have ended up in bankruptcy court with millions of dollars in debt.
It’s no surprise that professional players from the NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB and other leagues often go broke. Over 70% of professional athletes fall into financial hardships after retirement, according to an episode titled “Broke” for ESPN’s “30 for 30” series.
