Tate Rodemaker transferring; 5 landing spots for quarterback

During his time as a three-star prospect out of Valdosta, Georgia, Rodemaker made an official visit to Virginia Tech where Bearkats’ offensive coordinator Brad Cornelsen was serving in the same role. Now, Cornelsen has the opportunity to land Rodemaker as he looks for a new home to jumpstart his career.

Sam Houston needs a new signal caller after Keegan Shoemaker exhausted his eligibility this past season. While the team has Grant Gunnell on the roster and recently added Central Michigan transfer Jase Bauer, Rodemaker has had more success at a higher level than those two and could be seen as the frontrunner in the clubhouse if added. For Rodemaker, this would allow him to showcase what he can do as a starting quarterback while playing under an offensive coordinator he was familiar with through the recruiting process.
