Ranking each ACC basketball team as conference play begins

13. Florida State

Florida State has fallen on tough times recently after some terrific seasons under Leonard Hamilton during the back half of the 2010s. The 2023-24 season will likely be another year of rebuilding for the Seminoles, but they have already shown signs of improvement from a team that went 9-23 last year with a win over a ranked Colorado team, and a valiant effort in their ACC opener at North Carolina. As usual, Hamilton’s team features a deep rotation headlined by junior forward Jamir Watkins who leads the team in points (13), rebounds (6.2) and assists (2.9) per game. Senior guard Darin Green Jr. and talented 6-foot-11 sophomore Baba Miller could also help the Noles pull off a couple of upsets in conference play.
