14. Notre Dame

Similar to Louisville, Notre Dame has generally struggled on the hardwood since the mid-2010s and the Fighting Irish are not expected to do much again this season. The program should be in good hands in the long run under new head coach Micah Shrewsberry, but 2023-24 is a rebuilding year with a young roster. That youth provided some optimism recently with a blowout victory over Virginia, one of six Notre Dame wins so far this season. Talented freshman guard Markus Burton is leading the way for Notre Dame, scoring nearly 16 points per game. Combined with other in-state talent like Tae Davis and J.R. Konieczny, Notre Dame could notch a few more surprising wins in ACC play, but it is hard to see them moving up much higher in the conference standings.
