Ranking the 10 best NFL free agents for the 2024 offseason

9. Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Evans has been one of the NFL’s most consistent wide receivers no matter who is throwing him the ball. The 30-year-old has 10 straight seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards, one year shy of Jerry Rice’s 11-season record. Evans has been underappreciated throughout his career, but the salary he receives this offseason should be indicative of the type of production he can provide. 

The Houston Texans could emerge as the favorites to land the five-time Pro Bowler. Evans grew up in Galveston, Texas, an hour southeast of Houston. And the hometown team makes sense on the football field as well. Tank Dell showcased what he can do before breaking his fibula in December and Nico Collins looked like a Pro Bowler throughout the final stretch of the season. An Evans addition would give C.J. Stroud another weapon and give Houston the potential to have the best offense in the NFL in 2024.
