10 unheralded players who could impact March Madness

DaRon Holmes II, F, Dayton

Holmes is a victim of his small school status because if he was playing in one of the bigger conferences he’d likely be known across the country. Alas, Holmes plays in the A-10, so many people likely don’t know him, but they should.

The 6-foot-10 Flyers forward ranks No. 42 in the country in scoring with 19.4 points per game, No. 65 in shooting percentage at 54.3%, No. 104 in rebounding with 7.7 and No. 18 in blocks at 2.3. His 4.9 win shares rank No. 10 in the nation, proving how valuable Holmes is to his squad. While Holmes might not have hit the mainstream like former Dayton star Obi Toppin did yet, once March comes expect his name to start gaining momentum.
