Caleb Williams transferring; 5 spots for D-III hoops star
4. Iowa
Similar to Iowa State, Caleb could be interested in heading to the rival Iowa Hawkeyes for many of the same reasons, namely that Cornell College is just a 30–minute drive away from downtown Iowa City. There are some other factors as well, with Iowa projected to lose two of its top-five scorers and potentially a third if leading scorer Tony Perkins decided to enter the draft.
Another factor would be the opportunity to play in the Big Ten. As a Wisconsin native, it is more likely than not that Caleb mostly watched Big Ten basketball which would mean exposure to its teams including the Hawkeyes. If he wants to not only play in the state near his dad but do so while repping the conference he grew up watching, then Iowa may be a good fit.
Caleb Williams finished with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals last night in a win for Macalester! @MacalesterMBB
