Jalen Blackmon transferring: 5 landing spots for star scorer
Florida State
When James played for the Wildcats, one of his assistant coaches on the team was Leonard Hamilton. Now decades later, Hamilton is leading the Seminoles and could use a shooter, especially from deep. Florida State finished last season ranked No. 294 out of 351 in the country in 3-point percentage, which led the team to stop focusing on that type of shot, ranking No. 284 in 3-point attempts. Blackmon finished No. 10 in the country in 3-point attempts and No. 58 in 3-point percentage at 38%, showing how elite he is beyond the arc.
This move would keep Blackmon in Florida, a state he has grown accustomed to over the past two years. It would also unite another Blackmon with Hamilton which could be a recipe for success. If Hamilton and the Blackmon family are still close, perhaps the Seminoles’ coach can convince the guard to head to Tallahassee.
