Mason Gillis transferring: 5 landing spots for forward
Butler
With Jalen Thomas graduating and Jahmyl Telfort going through the NBA draft process, the Bulldogs may need help in the frontcourt. One of the team’s top 3-point threats, DJ Davis, also entered the portal, so there may be a need for shooters as well. Gillis, a New Castle native, could be the answer.
Gillis was previously offered by Butler so he knows the program, though that was under a different coaching staff. However, the Bulldogs are in close proximity to his hometown and are still at the high-major level in the Big East. If Gillis is looking for playing time at an in-state school, Butler may be able to provide just that opportunity.
