Max Shulga enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots
Virginia Cavaliers
Virginia has had trouble scoring the basketball at times during the Tony Bennett era and that was often the case during the 2023-24 season, a campaign where the Cavaliers made it to the NCAA Tournament but were bounced in the first four due to their lack of offense. A shooter like Shulga would certainly be a beneficial addition this offseason for Bennett and the Cavaliers may have had their eye on him already while he played within the state this past season. An addition like Shulga is even more important considering that Reece Beekman just declared for the NBA draft, while forward Ryan Dunn had already done the same. Virginia will also lose some guard depth with Leon Bond III transferring, so Shulga would have every opportunity to emerge as one of the Cavaliers’ top weapons next season.
