Zhuric Phelps enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots
Oregon State Beavers
Phelps has spent his basketball career in Texas, so a move to the Pacific Northwest may not seem all that likely. However, Wayne Tinkle and Oregon State were one of the more notable programs to offer the talented guard coming out of high school, and Phelps could see more playing time in Corvallis than he would at some of the other destinations on this list. Following a surprise Elite Eight run in 2021, the Beavers have struggled the last three seasons and will encounter the beginning of a new era next season with the Pac-12 dissolving. While it might not be the most ideal situation, it seems like a spot where Phelps could thrive, particularly with Oregon State losing several guards this offseason including leading scorer Jordan Pope, Dexter Akanno, Christian Wright and Justin Rochelin.
