3. Barry Larkin, SS

A three-sport athlete at Cincinnati’s Archbishop Moeller High School, Larkin made a dozen All-Star teams during his 19-year professional tour with his hometown Reds, proving to be the best shortstop of his time in the Senior Circuit.

He became the first of his position to join the 30-30 club in 1996 and won the NL MVP award the year prior. Larkin earned a Gold Glove each year from 1994-96 and helped win Cincy a World Series in 1990.

He slashed a career .295/.371/.444 and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2012.
