The most notable takeaway from the Rangers’ postseason run is that they need to get tougher. Laine is known for his big shot and being able to put the puck in the net, making it easy to forget about his size. He is 6-foot-5, 215 pounds and he is not afraid to play physical. New York may shy away due to his off-the-ice concerns, but this could be a home run for lead executive Chris Drury if he pursues him.

Goodrow had a fantastic postseason highlighted by a two-goal performance against the Florida Panthers, but his regular season was underwhelming. The 31-year-old had 12 points in 80 games in 2023-24. New York may decide to keep him after his playoff heroics, but this could be a chance to flip him for a player with much more upside.
