Zach Eflin on the trade block?: 5 possible landing spots

Atlanta Braves

The Braves have a strong pitching staff that leads the big leagues in team ERA, but that might not stop general manager Alex Anthopoulos from looking to add an arm or two for the final few months of the season. Atlanta was dealt a big early-season blow after losing Spencer Strider and has never truly replaced that spot in the rotation. Reynaldo Lopez’s emergence has helped mask that loss, but adding a depth piece like Eflin couldn’t hurt, especially considering the rest of the staff consists of relatively injury-prone or aging pitchers like Chris Sale, Charlie Morton and Max Fried. Eflin could also ultimately replace Morton in the rotation in 2025 should the 40-year-old hang it up after this season while helping the Braves challenge the Phillies and Dodgers this October.
