10 breakout performers from the 2024 NBA Summer League
Jeff Dowtin, Philadelphia 76ers
Dowtin is one of the oldest players on this list as he went undrafted out of Rhode Island in 2020 and has bounced around with the Magic, Warriors, Bucks, Raptors and 76ers over the past few years. The 6-foot-3, 175-pound guard saw some action with the Sixers while playing on a two-way contract last year, and he will remain in Philly for the foreseeable future as his play this summer helped him earn another two-way deal. In four games, Dowtin proved to be a catalyst for the Sixers’ offense as he averaged 17.3 points, six assists and 3.3 rebounds. There is still room for improvement when it comes to Dowtin’s outside shot and defense, but with good speed and athleticism, he’s proven capable of hanging around as a potential depth piece for the 76ers as they look to contend in the East.
