10 breakout performers from the 2024 NBA Summer League
Adama Sanogo, Chicago Bulls
Sanogo went undrafted following his national championship season at UConn in 2023 and saw action in just nine games while on a two-way contract with the Bulls as a rookie, but he ended the year with an impressive 20-point, 20-rebound effort. Sanogo isn’t a shooter, but his 6-foot-9, 245-pound frame gives him a chance to stick around in the NBA and he further displayed his skill set with some nice games over the past couple of weeks. Overall, Sanogo averaged 15 points and 8.8 rebounds across four contests, shooting 62.2% from the field and a solid 87.5% from the free-throw line. The UConn product was also strong defensively with 1.8 steals and one block per contest. Sanogo still has some developing to do, but he could see a greater opportunity in Chicago this year with the franchise on the brink of a rebuild.
