10. George Cafego, RB (1937-39)

Cafego was recruited by head coach Robert Neyland out of Whipple, West Virginia, and became one of the best running backs in school history. He was an All-American twice while in Knoxville and he finished seventh in the 1938 Heisman Trophy voting. Cafego averaged 6.1 yards and led the Volunteers to back-to-back undefeated regular seasons.
