10 NHL players who could break out in the 2024-25 season
J.J. Moser, Tampa Bay Lightning
The Tampa Lightning shipped off defenseman Mikhail Sergachev during the NHL draft to Utah Hockey Club in exchange for Moser, Connor Geekie and a future second-round pick. Moser could immediately be thrusted into a large role for a team that should once again contend for the playoffs. Moser might be a part of Tampa Bay’s top pairing along with Victor Hedman. It will be a challenge for the 24-year-old, but if he can handle it, his stock will rise quickly.
