10 NHL players who could break out in the 2024-25 season

Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith are too obvious to include here. Everyone is expecting them to have strong rookie seasons despite their age. Zetterlund is a player who many fans across the league might not know, but they will by the end of the year. He was one of few bright spots for the Sharks last season, scoring 24 goals in his first full NHL campaign. The 25-year-old is likely to be a top-line winger in San Jose and he should benefit from playing with a top talent in Celebrini and a veteran in Tyler Toffoli.
