10 NHL players who could break out in the 2024-25 season

Maxim Tsyplakov, New York Islanders

The Islanders did not have a ton of wiggle room in the offseason, but they were able to bring in Anthony Duclair who will be on their top line. But the addition no one is talking about is Tsyplakov. The 26-year-old winger moved to the United States after putting up 31 goals in the KHL last season. New York needs more scoring punch. If Tsyplakov’s numbers can translate, he will easily be a top-six forward for the Islanders.
