Teams expected ‘to call’ on Amari Cooper: 5 landing spots
Washington Commanders
The Commanders have been one of the biggest surprises of the 2024 NFL season thus far, jumping out to a 4-1 start while sitting atop the NFC East. With how well rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels is playing, Washington could look to add to its roster at the trade deadline for a playoff push and Cooper would be a nice fit. The Commanders have been searching for a No. 2 wideout to pair with Terry McLaurin since the summer, particularly after cutting Jahan Dotson. Noah Brown, Luke McCaffrey, Dyami Brown and Olamide Zaccheaus have all had some good moments this season, but none match Cooper’s skill. Not only would the 11th-year wideout provide Washington with a true No. 2 option in the passing game, but his veteran presence would also be incredibly beneficial for the continued development of Daniels.
