Top 5 Ohio State offensive coordinator candidates for 2025
Kevin Wilson
Wilson is an intriguing candidate thanks to his familiarity with Day and the program. Wilson served as Ohio State’s offensive coordinator from 2017-22 going back to the Urban Meyer era, and regularly led some of college football’s most potent offenses. He also served as offensive coordinator in-state at Miami (OH), elsewhere in the Big Ten at Northwestern, and at one of college football’s other top programs, Oklahoma. Wilson was the head coach at Indiana from 2011-16 and earned another head-coaching opportunity at Tulsa but was fired following the 2024 season after going just 7-16 in two years. Still, the 63-year-old has an impressive resume, and his relationships with Day, Brian Hartline and others would help keep continuity among the staff as Ohio State enters a new offensive era with Julian Sayin likely taking over at quarterback.
