Top 10 highest-rated Virginia HS football players since 2000
2. Vidal Hazelton – 0.9984
A stellar wide receiver, Hazelton only spent one year at a Virginia high school but undoubtedly left his mark. During his senior season at Hargrave Military Academy, Hazelton recorded 41 receptions for 942 yards (23-yard average) and 13 touchdowns. This led Hazelton to U.S. Army All-American honors and he committed to USC.
After being a backup during his true freshman year, Hazelton broke out for the Trojans as a sophomore, recording 50 receptions, second on USC, for 540 yards and four touchdowns in all 13 games with nine starts. However, an injury his junior year saw the wideout fall out of favor in LA and he transferred to Cincinnati where he would only play in one game before a knee injury ended his season. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Chargers after the 2011 NFL Draft and spent two seasons on practice squads before going to the CFL where he played four seasons.
