Jamarii Thomas transferring: 5 landing spots for MEAC POTY

Bobby Hurley and the Sun Devils have already been in contact with Thomas, so transferring to Tempe is certainly a possibility for the reigning MEAC Player of the Year. Arizona State struggled mightily in 2023-24 and could use better production from its backcourt. The Sun Devils also need more depth, particularly at the guard position. That’s especially true with shooting guard Jose Perez exhausting his eligibility, while point guard Frankie Collins recently entered the transfer portal. With Collins likely on the move, Thomas could be a perfect replacement who has the defensive tenacity of Collins, but can also provide more of a scoring punch. The opportunity to learn from a successful collegiate point guard like Hurley could also be beneficial going forward for Thomas.
