5 NHL records that could be broken during the 2024-25 season
Consecutive point per game seasons: Wayne Gretzky, 19
Sidney Crosby is respected as an all-time great and one of the main reasons why is his consistency. Crosby averaged over one point per game for the 19th consecutive season in 2023-24, setting him up to potentially surpass Gretzky’s mark in 2024-25. Crosby turned 37 in August, but he still looks fantastic on the ice. The Canadian center had 94 points last season and has not dipped below the 90 mark since 2021-22 when he only played in 69 games.
